The team behind the rapid conversion of a primary care health centre to a COVID-19 in-patient facility have received a ‘Highly Commended’ award in the Building Better Healthcare Awards, Best COVID-19 Project Team 2020 category.
The team comprising of Solent NHS Trust, Community Health Partnerships, South West Hampshire LIFT and its management services provider, gbpartnerships - and facilities management provider, Bellrock, was swiftly established in response to an urgent requirement from Solent NHS Trust at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic to convert an existing LIFT facility providing community services to one providing 24/7 in-patient care.
The project is a shining example of strong collaboration and teamwork between key stakeholders. From inception to completion, the project was delivered in just three weeks, a truly phenomenal achievement and demonstrative of what can be achieved with partnership working and an agile mindset. It also highlights how a diverse range of stakeholders can work with speed and agility as a single team.
The Building Better Healthcare awards, which were unable to take place in 2020 due to the pandemic and social distancing restrictions, were held in London on 3rd November.
